October brings Oregonians!

We are happy to have two visiting writers for our 10th M.I.A. Art & Literary Series event. This month we will have Oregonians Kaia Sand and Jules Boykoff performing their poetry, as well as Susan Schultz who will read some young work about old women (click here to download the FREE ebook). Vudu Munki a.k.a. Alex Dorcean will give an exciting performance of his fiction (we promise!)

Come get drunk on literary goodness (and have a drink or two, too) on October 13th at 7:30 PM, at our regular spot, the Mercury Bar: 1154 Fort Street Mall, Honolulu, HI 96813.

M.I.A. Returns on Wednesday, Sept. 1

We’re back and ready to entertain you with delicious doses of poetry, music, fiction, performance, and art!

Readers for September’s M.I.A. event include Sage Takehiro (read her here), Brenda Kwon (learn about her here), Travis Kaululuaa Thompson, and Richard Hamasaki (click here).  Also, join us for special guest FRED HO on Wednesday, September 1st, at the Mercury Bar at 7:30 PM.

Fred Ho will play his sax to accompany Richard Hamasaki, who would read Fred’s work from DIARY OF A RADICAL CANCER WARRIOR: FIGHTING CANCER AND CAPITALISM AT THE CELLULAR LEVEL. This promises to be a stellar performance!
